Resize & Crop A PDF
Make the pages the size they should have been.
Page size is the quiet incompatibility between Europe and the US: a document laid out for US Letter prints with clipped edges on A4, and vice versa. Scanned pages arrive at whatever size the scanner decided, often with wide empty margins.
Convert every page to a standard size with the content scaled to fit, scale the whole document up or down, or crop a fixed amount off each edge to cut the dead space.

Frequently asked questions
A4 or US Letter — will my document be clipped?
Not if you keep content scaling on. The page is scaled to fit inside the new size, preserving the aspect ratio and centring the result, so nothing is cut off — you may just see slightly different margins.
Does cropping delete the content outside the crop?
No. Cropping sets the visible area of the page; the content outside it is hidden rather than removed, and a determined reader could restore it. Do not use cropping to hide sensitive information.
Why did my file size not change after resizing?
Because resizing changes the page geometry, not the content. To make the file smaller you want the Compress PDF tool.
