Rotate PDF
Fix pages that came out sideways — permanently, not just in your viewer.
Scanners and phone cameras regularly produce pages that are rotated the wrong way. Most PDF viewers let you turn the view, but that setting is not saved into the file — send it on and the recipient sees it sideways again.
This tool writes the rotation into the document itself. Select individual pages if only some are wrong, preview the result on the thumbnails, then save.
How to use it
- 01Drop in the PDF with the sideways pages.
- 02Select the pages that need turning, or select nothing to rotate them all.
- 03Use Left, Right or Flip until the thumbnails look right.
- 04Save and download the corrected document.
Frequently asked questions
Is the rotation saved into the file?
Yes. It is written to each page's rotation property, so the document opens the right way up everywhere — including when printed.
Can I rotate different pages by different amounts?
Yes. Select a group of pages, rotate them, then select another group and rotate that differently. The thumbnails preview each page's own rotation.
Does rotating re-compress the page?
No. Only a rotation flag changes; the page content is untouched, so there is no quality loss and the file size is essentially unchanged.
Why does my PDF still open sideways in one particular app?
A few older viewers and some phone gallery apps ignore the page rotation property entirely. If a document has to display correctly everywhere, convert the rotated pages to images and back, which bakes the orientation into the pixels — at the cost of the text layer.
